As you helped Adam see his wife as his partner,
help all fathers treasure their wives as partners in life.
As you helped Saint Joseph in the virtue of obedience,
Help all fathers obey your will.
As you helped Jesse raise his son David to holiness,
Help all fathers grow in personal righteousness.
As you helped Abraham, Isaac and Jacob
Grow their families into tribes and nations,
Help all fathers treasure their children
As they are treasured by their heavenly father.
Though all sin and fall short,
Help every father to rise
And be the man of God he is called to be.

VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION NIGHT
JUNE 17TH - 7:00 P.M.
The parish would like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our Volunteers.  An evening has been planned June 17th beginning with mass, a special blessing and a token for the 175 volunteers involved in the various pastoral services as listed on the bulletin cover. This will be followed by a wine and cheese reception.

The parish has 8' long folding tables for sale.  They are $25.00 per table.  Great for camp!  They are in the Gathering Hall.  Please call the office at 673-1774 to purchase.

49TH INTERNATIONAL EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS
Quebec City, June 15 - 22, 2008
The Theme is “The Eucharist, the gift of God for the life of the world.”  The provisional program for each day of the Congress from the opening ceremony on Sunday, June 15 to the closing Eucharist on the Plains of Abraham on Sunday, June 22, as well as other information can be found at http://www.cei2008.ca

LAY APOSTOLATE FORMATION
The Lay Apostolate Formation is being offered once again this fall the the Diocese.  This formation  is geared to Catholic lay persons who are already active or who desire to become active in their parish.  If  you are a person who desires a deeper understanding of your Catholic faith, sacraments, theology, and Sacred Scripture, please consider the Lay Apostolate Formation.   Application forms are available at our diocesan site:  http://www.diocesessm.org and from this office. ➔Inner City Home - The Knights of Columbus and the Shriners are teaming up once again to host our 2nd Annual Golf Tournament for Inner City Home on June 18th at 10 a.m.  Tee off at Colonial Golf Course in Chelmsford.  Cost is $65.00 for 18 holes and includes a Prime Rib supper at 5:00 or 6:00 p.m Please mark your calendar and come out with your friends to support the work of the Home and have a good time also.  Hope to see you there....

FIVE DAY SUMMER RETREAT AT VILLA LOYOLA
The Spiritual Exercises - Annotation 19 of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola.  These exercises will consist of 30 weeks of prayer material with gatherings to be held every second Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  Starting September 16th with an orientation and information session and ending with a closing weekend retreat in May 2009.  The cost is $260.00 (includes compulsory year-end retreat) To register call 522-3502 ext. 0 or loyola@isys.ca  If you wish to have additional information please contact the facilitator, Linda Labelle at 674-2727 ext. 241.  Linda is presently the Diocesan Coordinator of Faith Development and Evangelisation for the Diocese of Sault Ste. Marie.  She has an M.A. in Ministry and spirituality and a Diploma in Spiritual Direction.  One of her main area of study is the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola.

The Sisters of St. Joseph of Sault Ste.
