SUMMER WEEKEND MASS SCHEDULE
We begin our summer mass schedule the weekend of June 7th & 8t.h , Saturday 4:30 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m. Please mark your calendars. Our summer mass schedule ends and includes the weekend of Sept 27 & 28, 2008.
HOPE CHEST DONORS PLAQUE
A draft of the Hope Chest Building Campaign Star Donors plaque is on display in the entrance. We have verified spelling of names; however, there still may be mistakes. Please notify the office of any corrections. The Campaign is now over the plaque will go to the engraver before the summer.
OUR LADY OF HOPE PARISH BARBEQUE
A reminder to join us for a Parish barbeque on Sunday, June 15th after the 10:00 a.m mass to 1:00 p.m. Tickets $5.00 per/person or $15.00 per family. A table has been set up in the foyer of the church listing the various tasks where volunteers are needed:
➤ Set up the tables and chairs (after the 10:00 a.m. mass) and to start the BBQ’s.
➤B.B.Q. meat and set-up condiment table.
➤Clean up crew to put away the tables and chairs and dishwashing etc.
If you can help out with any of these tasks please put your name and phone number on the sign-up sheet.

The last CWL monthly meeting before we break for the summer is Tuesday, June 3 at 7:00 p.m. After the business is completed we will be presenting members with the 25 and 40 year service pins. Please join us for this wonderful celebration as we gather to honor our special ladies.
YOUTH ENSEMBLE
"The Youth Ensemble will play their final Mass of the year on June 8, at the 10:00 a.m. mass. We will start up again in the fall and will be looking for new members.”

FUN FAIR AT CORPUS CHRISTI SCHOOL
Corpus Christi school will host a Fun Fair on Sunday, June 8th from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the school on Robinson Drive. The fair will feature plenty of games for the kids, a bounce-a-bout, cake walk, raffle baskets to be won and more! Coupons will be sold at the fair for a barbecue lunch, refreshments and games. Everyone is welcome to attend this fun-filled event!

Food crisis: First joint project for D&P and Canadian Foodgrains Bank:
D&P is working with the Canadian Foodgrains Bank to send $500,000 to partner Caritas Zambia following extensive flooding in the country. The project involves distributing locally bought food and providing seeds, fertilizer, equipment and training to local farmers. A very heavy rainy season has destroyed crops, livestock and homes, affecting nearly half a million Zambians. This situation was recently compounded by the global food crisis, as the cost of basic goods in Zambia has increased by at least 50% in the last four months.

➔24 HOURS FOR THE UNBORN - Starting June 5th, 7 p.m. to June 6th, 7 p.m. Pro lifers will be keeping a silent prayerful VIGIL at the Memorial Hospital Site. The reason for this is to save as many Unborn babies as possible. Those interested please drop by at the entrance to memorial Hospital site. You can stay 1 hour, 2 hours or as long as you wish. There will be a meeting at St Andrew's United Church 111 Larch St. in downtown Sudbury, on Thursday June 5th at 7:00 p.m. Our guest speaker will be Julie Graham from the Toronto Office of Kairos. Information will be presented some resources will be available. Discussion and question period will follow. All Sudbury area folks who are involved in work for justice! KAIROS MEETING: Like Development and Peace, Kairos has been looking at the extractive industry - while D & P has been concentrating on hard rock mining, Kairoshas been campaigning on the oil industry and looking at Global Warming, so the two campaigns really complement each other.
